Just in time for Halloween…

I spent a couple of hours cleaning out the doors to The Shed today and think I’m going to have nightmares tonight.

As expected, I found a half dozen rodent carcasses, the largest, most likely a pack rat, which appeared to be mummified.

Admittedly, I was afraid that a live one would jump out at any moment as I pulled off the old insulation. I likewise feared the risk of contracting Hantavirus, the Black Plague of New Mexico.

Although I wore a bandanna, I should have been wearing a hazmat suit or at least a n95. Crossing my fingers that I won’t pay the price of my risky irresponsibility.
